That sounds like a great idea as I already know the positions. Now while praying do you stare at it the whole time? Would this be acceptable for me? Even if I do Ruku and Sujood? I made a couple of flash cards that has the recitations.

Yeah, for now you can just stare at it to read it correctly. But once you have it memorized, dont use it and please properly dispose of it.

Best way to memorize is repetition. Just repeat the phrase many times, over and over again, until you're comfortable reciting it and it just flows off your tongue. Dont worry, Allah (swt) will make it easier for you because He knows you're making an effort.

Sister Amna4's approach is really good with keeping a written version somewhere in front of you on the prayer rug where you can see it and then read off of it. Insha'Allah very soon you will not need to look at the written version and will just recite everything on your own (which should be the goal, to eliminate the written version (during salat) as soon as possible). Also, though needless to say, please be careful to treat those papers (with the written wordings of salah) with respect and make sure they don't come under your feet etc, then keep them in a safe place when they are not being used. When you are done with them and don't need to make salat by reading from the paper anymore, you may continue to keep them in a safe place or dispose of them by burning or putting them through a fine-cut shredder.

I do something similar whenever I'm trying to learn a new dua or dhikr to recite after salat (or in general). I save the image of the dua/ayat/dhikr in Arabic on my phone and then I read it by looking after salat (or at any time) and eventually Alhamdulillah it becomes memorized & the need to do it by looking is eliminated.

That sounds like a great idea. I was going to read it off my flash cards but I felt that maybe my Salat wouldn`t be accepted since I would be more focused on the card then the prayer itself. I will try that tonight and see how it goes.
