Ibid : ever wondered which book is this :)

I m sure by now a lot of us have seen 'Ibid' as one of the sources in texts and copy-pastes we see in the forums.

Ever wondered which book is it, and which scholar is the author of Ibid?

Actually it is not a book.
I searched for this 'book' and I got this in return:

Ibid. (Latin, short for ibidem, meaning the same place) is the term used to provide an endnote or footnote citation or reference for a source that was cited in the preceding endnote or footnote. It is similar in meaning to idem (meaning something that has been mentioned previously; the same), abbreviated Id., which is commonly used in legal citation.[1] To find the ibid. source, one must look at the reference preceding it.

Its just a word denoting the source used is same as the earlier quoted source.

This reminds me of a funny story with my friend.

My Friend (?) once said to me something, i said: "from where did you get this statement?" he replied: "Ibid, page ###", i couldn't stop laughing.
