Disable SunniForum during Ramadhan ?

What about temporarily disabling this forum for Ramadhan ? It's no secret there are intense debates going on here, sometimes on politics or on centuries-old fiqh issues..which are unproductive especially during Ramadhan.
If people (like me) can't control themselves, can't mods do it for us ?
The sub-forums related to Fiqh Q&A and other beneficial reminders may stay open and the remaining closed or in read-only mode.
That way moderators may also monitor less this forum and members get a 'life' outside of SF.

What do you think ?

How do mods consider the nature of recent threads ? What if it continues during Ramadhan ?

i agree with what you said in OP though...moderators also have duties in ramadan. their burden should be lessened.
but make sure to keep the in-depth fiqh open. for obvious reasons : D

There has been a rule for few years now that all controversial threads would be locked immediately for the duration of ramadhan. It's usually good enough.

I definitely think no. Especially for newer Muslims (like me), we might come up with a question during Ramadan that we need a quick answer to.

Obviously Q&A sub-forum and fada'il-reminding threads would remain open as mentioned in first post.

I agree with the OP. At least 4 ramadhan it will be nice to have SF disabled, coz no matter how badly you don't want to cum bak 2 SF there's something that just pulls u bak here.
