    Default my path to Islam

zahed73 asked me to start a thread where we could discuss the events I have gone through, and what I have taken from them, that has led me to Islam. Also implicit in this journey we shall take together, is ensuring that my structure of principles, guiding my actions, and the things I say, do not conflict with what is written in the Qur'an.

Where to start? I have always known that there must be a simple, concise, robust source for the universe and my existence. It just didn't make sense. After the Army and my physics degree, I went on the road as a computer programmer and lived in several states. Throughout it all I have been a voracious reader of things spiritual.

Finally, after some clarification as to my sexual orientation, I put myself (unknowingly) into hell, 6 years ago. It took the realization in my life of unwavering faith in God and heart-felt intentional prayer to Allah for him to reach into my heart and lift me out of hell.

After years of trying to go back to a "normal" life, I have now devoted my life to Allah. May he guide me true, and may I live my life always following his guidance.

    السلام عليكم

If what this sister is saying here reflects her true intention, then I owe her an apology for being sarcastic in the other thread. May Allah helps her navigate here way to the truth and Rewards her with Hidayah.

Sister, if I may enquire, have you already said the Shahada? Why not start with proper introduction of you being a muslim right now because the bold lines above indicates that you have accepted the truth. However, your comfort zone here http://callistohouse.org/ is a big ? mark unless you are coming out of it soon.

Seeing as how they banned my wife, I will say:

Reversal is easy, if she leaves her comfort zone here http://callistohouse.org/,and accepts Islam with clear declaration of Shahada.

    Hi:

Are you the same person as the OP (Rasta Rebecca) - the person behind the website linked to in this thread?
    أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم
    بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

    A`ūdhu billāhi min ash-shaitāni r-rajīm
    b-ismi-llāhi r-raḥmāni r-raḥīm

I seek refuge in Allah from Shaitan, the accursed one
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
