Use of word (Fakhar) in Islam

Salam to all,

I wanted to check if i can have any information regarding using the sentence that Mujhe Fakhr hai in being a muslim , or being of a certain community or saying it for your son/daughter who might have accomplished something in life for instance a PHD etc.

As far as i know , we must say that we are Thankful to all for being muslims or to what community we belong as Fakhr is drevied from pride. Moreover, we as in humans have no achievements at all but have to be thankful to Allah for everything in life.

Please guide me with references if any.

'Fakhr' mean pride. When you have 'Fakhr' in some one, it means you're proud of them.
The phrase "Mujhe Fakhr hai in being a muslim" means "Im proud to be a Muslim"


Why would there be anything wrong in using this word in the context above? This kind of pride is not haram, rather pride in yourself that you become arrogant, this is haram.

Its perfectly ok for a father to be proud of his son, or for someone to be proud in being Muslim.
