i request sf admin to enable my post/my thread option button...
If I or any of my posts hurt you anytime, either here on this forum or anywhere outside this forum, then I ask sincere forgiveness from you.
Wassalaam...

would like to unsubscribe from sf threads for now..

The option is there. It's always been there, they just changed the names of the links around a little while ago for some reason. On the top left under the SF logo, click the "Forum" tab. Then click "Quick Links" & select the "Subscribed Threads" option. This will get you the list of thread titles which you are subscribed to and you have the option to modify or cancel the subscriptions.
Alternatively, the following link will also show you your subscribed threads:
http://www.sunniforum.com/forum/subscription.php
Needless to say, the above link will only work when one is logged into their username.
Insha'Allah that should help. I think this is what the OP was asking, if not... then carry on.
EDIT: If one is looking for "time off" from the forum for whatever reasons and wants to make sure they don't get 'tempted' to get back on here, they can ask the moderators to temporarily ban them from the forum for a set period of time. Yes, 'banning' can also be used towards 'non-trouble-making-people' for 'good causes' and not only towards 'trouble makers'.

[Mod Edit]
Akhi I am subscribed to about a thousand threads.
(Luckily not all of them are active.)
My own threads will be about a hundred.
These latter ones are the ones in which I am interested.
Earlier there was a clear, in-your-face, button for them.
Now it is not there.
vBulletin is used by so many people so there must be many people who are bothered by this new change.
The problem perhaps is that our complain is not reaching them.
