why does articles on haqqanis get locked but salafi discussions dont?`

well he wasnt spot on was he bceause he was wrong. there is no arab khilafah and the date passed last year. Perhaps the jinn mixed in a 100 falsehoods with the truth they gave him?

And I dont see how its ok to attack zakir naik if your saying we shoudlnt attack individuals

also people expect me not to criticise sufis based on some pakistani guy i met so why do the same to salafis?

There is no consistency whatsoever.

Its just we want to atatck salafis whilst leaving anyone affiliated to sufism, tehrefore we shall try to justify it even if we contradict ourselves a million times in doing so.

If we are going on hqqanis as opposed tyo shaikh nazim then even worse and if you go to cyprus like I did you will see they attribute powers to him which only Allah alone has

How many Shaikh Nazim follower do you know!! I once had a running with his crew and I am no fond of them!! Look brother, I have liking for the likes of Abu Muntasir but not the likes of Dr. Naiki and Billal philippi or half baked scholars that pollutes the air ways!! I have a liking for the scholars like Shaikh Uthaimin (RAH) but not young dim witted farigs from KSA!! I have seen Deo scholars defending Shaikh Bin Bazz but remained silent when it came to the recent bunch!!

Did I say its ones obligation to attack Zakir Naik ? Or I personally prefer that ? Lets try to be constructive . Whats said is said . Debate the message. No need to insult the message giver . That is what I said.

I think the reason the Haqqani thread was locked was possibly because of necroposting, since the thread was started in 2011. You already know people on this forum do not have a favourable view of the Nazim Haqqani movement so what is there to say? If there is something new, some new criticism or praise, then make a thread and there will be a discussion. On the other hand, many people, especially amongst the Deobandis, are confused by the Salafis who make claims against established principles, such as following a madhhab or tasawwuf. Yes, we know not all Salafis are like this that is why you don't see people making threads criticizing the well-known Salafi ulama of the Arab world. You don't see people criticize Shayk al-'Arifi, for example, even though he is a Salafi. Zakir Naik, on the other hand, is a different kind of Salafi; his approach to the deen is completely different since he is not classically learned in the Islamic sciences.

And the thread on Shaykh Hamza Yusuf lasted a long time and was only closed when things got out of hand, not because Shaykh Hamza was being criticized, which he mostly wasn't.

Please report any posts/threads that you feel should be looked into and at some point, the moderators will look into them. In the meantime, with Ramadhan approaching, threads such as the one in question cannot provide much good for anyone.
