Darus Salam Foundation is pleased to announce the launch of their one year Arabic and Islamic Studies Immersion program. The curriculum is geared towards providing students with a strong competency in Arabic, and also gives students a solid introduction to the sciences of Aqeedah and Hanafi Fiqh.

The teachers are all masha'Allah young, dynamic, erudite scholars who have graduated from the prestigious Darul Uloom Zakariyyah in South Africa.

Assalaamu 'alaykum

I apologize. I realized that the flyer that I posted is so small it is hardly readable. To briefly give a bit of information, this is a one year program that will insha'Allah run from September 4, 2012 - June 28, 2013. The program emphasizes Arabic, but also will focus on fiqh, aqidah, tajweed, seerah, and tarbiyyah as well.

At the end of the program, the student will insha'Allah be able to

• Translate and understand most verses of the Qur’an
• Understand the fundamentals of Arabic grammar
• Read basic and intermediate texts in classical Arabic
• Write and speak Arabic with proficiency
• Practice and teach the prophetic methods of purification and prayer
• Understand the fundamental beliefs of the Ahl al-Sunnah wa l-Jama‘ah
• Answer contemporary objections related to theology
• Understand & apply basic rules of tajwid in reciting Qur'an
• Outline the major events in the life of the Prophet (peace be upon him)
• Deliver a Jumah khutbah and conduct an Islamic marriage
