Just out of curiosity.
I follow crescent moon (hilal) sighting committees or make sure the hilal was seen in my area
I follow predetermined astronomical calculations for the new moon
I don't know, I just follow whatever my immediate family or friends say/do
I don't know, I just follow whatever my local mosque or local scholars say/do
I follow whatever is done 'back home' in my country of origin
I don't know, I go by what is announced on radio or TV, or is written in my day-planner or calendar
