Default Is my Muslim name Okay??

    Brothers and Sisters

So when I converted to Islam I didn't want to be like the Christians and keep the english name of zachary. So I changed it to Zakariya. In full I wright
    Zakariya ibn Yuqub
    (Zak son of James)
As Islam teaches it is appropriate to be named after your father.

The only problem is that my father is a kafir. So is this still halal?

Also is my Avatar okay. It says in the rule 2.19 that we can't have outlines or anything but I just want to make sure.

    Bismillah
Naming convention is described in the link

One ought to retain their forefathers name regardless of his faith as long as it does not have a negative meaning.

It should be spelled "Yaqub" or "Ya'qoob" or "Ya'qub" since the Arabic for James is يعقوب, which is the same as the Arabic for Jacob.
