Default Raising of hands during doa after khutba

    Assalamu aleikum,

Should we raise our hands when the imam makes dua during the khutba of the Friday prayers (i.e. just before the prayers start)?

Also should we say "amin" vocally or only in our heart during the dua?

Khutba of Jummah Salah is just like salah. The adaab of Salah should be followed in the khutbah as well. This means that one doesnt talk, make any hand gestures, or even say Ameen. Fuqaha mention that composure and abstaining from unnecessary movement is so important for khutbah, that one should not even speak to tell another person to keep quiet.

One should not say Ameen aloud in khutbah. Neither should on say Salutation on Rasulullah out loud. One should do it silently in one's heart.
