Imran Tahir and Hashim Amla are both travelers so what is the ruling regarding fasting according to Hanafi fiqh? They will be in England for the whole of Ramadhan but will be changing cities to play at different grounds. lot of people are assuming he is fasting but they are not aware of fiqh ruling regarding musafeers.

how is our fasting today, how much Quran we recited, zikr??? charity??

At a youth convention back in 06 or 07 hosted by the Jamiatul Ulama , Hashim told us that he fast, when matches are held during ramadhaan. He then expounded on the methods they adopt to stay hydrated without injesting anything. Perhaps it is the length of time in the UK at the moment that has resulted in him adopting the rukhsa for travellers. Otherwise I was under the impression that he is definitely fasting.

I think he only fasts if he plays at home in South Africa.
