Default Shaving the beard when parents threatening to kick me out...

Assalamualaikum dear brothers & sisters. I have a problem, my dad forced me to shave my beard as he said he was going to kick me out otherwise....What comes as a priority, obeying the parents or growing the beard? I hear 2 different opinions but I just wan't the truth...& what if the parents kick me out as my dad threatens? I really want to have a beard but I don't know what to do...please help, do you think my dad is bluffing? Should I grow it again & kindly tell him sorry I can't listen in this matter, & then let him kick me on the street? I would for the sake of Allah if I must...he might be bluffing though, might not... please any advice is good

    Salam

May Allah grant you strength and the wisdom to pursue the correct option.

In the past some members have suggested initially keeping a short beard, and slowly letting it grow, as a way of getting your family/father slowly accustomed to it in order to avoid giving them a fist length beard shock.

You should for sure do istikharah on this matter.

but I just want to point out that it is not mandatory to obey your parents when they tell you to do something haram for example: if they tell you to lie, cheat, steal, or shave your beard. The goal should be to make Allah happy, if int he process you make your parents unhappy that is admirable, but if you make them unhappy while it is unfortunate it does not mean that you abandon trying to make Allah happy with you.

Obviously your circumstance is somewhat special as your father has threatened to kick you out and therefore there's more to the picture then simply making Allah happy and your parents unhappy in the process. there's also your safety etc. to worry about.

I hope some ulema will read this and provide some advice as this is a serious issue and one needs to appease their conscience in such a matter.
