    Default Which Qir'aat to memorise

As a layman, an extreme layman...I have taken the niyyah to memorise the Noble Qur'an and insha'Allah I will succeed.
However there seems to be different methods of recitation or styles and I heard that are in total 10 different methods.
The question is what method should I take, what is the most commond Qir'aat?

I find this site very beneficial for memorisation: http://www.islamicstudies.info/tafhe...verse=21&to=29
Can someone tell me whether this is a common Qir'aat? If not could you please suggest a different source?

Wa 'alaikumu as-salamu wa rahmatu Allahi wa barakatuh

The most common Riwayah is that of Hafs 'an 'Asim. You should definately learn this as it is the most widespread.

    for your quick response brother.

Could you please tell me whether the website I mentioned is the Hafs method?
If not, could you direct me to a complete Qur'an recitation with this particular method?

Yes brother the website you have cited is the Hafs qira'ah. Hafs is read by around 95% of Muslims around the world, the next most common is Warsh (here is an example of warsh http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1HEuv3QW8f0 ) which is common in North Africa. The other 8 I believe are much rarer to find and mostly learnt by advanced students of Qur'an. Most resources that you find will be in the Hafs reading.

May Allah swt accept your niyyah and grant you tawfiq in your memorisation.

Hafs and Warsh are both riwayaat, not qira'aat. Warsh is indeed common in North Africa, but the whole Qira'ah of Imam Nafi' is. i.e. Qalun as well. In fact, I would think Qalun is even more prevalent than Warsh.
