    Default Permissible sandals in Ihram

I posted a query in the Hajj forum regarding the validity of a particular type of sandals for use in Hajj, but didn't get a response there, so I am posting the question here:

Are the sandals at the following link ok to use in ihraam? I know it states so in the product description, but just wanted to double check.

I do remember there was a previous thread on this before, and i think it was mufti abu hajira and colonel hardstone who gave a link to sandals which are permitted

Does it matter if the sandals have stitches in them? I've bought a pair from the above link and they have stiches in them.

I am sorry i have been in journey and have not been able to check in.

I do not feel comfortable about these sandals. As a criteria, ankle and the instep should remain uncovered. In the link given, the strap might cover the instep portion and perhaps the ankle as well along with the back portion which comes in line with the ankle.

Do you have any other alternatives?

Actually, the instep and the ankle bone remains completely uncovered. Not sure about the back of the ankle though.

I was more concerned regarding the fact that the straps have some stitching in them, so would it invalidate them on theat ground alone?

I can buy alternatives but was just curious to know from the fiqhi perspective as the website states they are suitable for Hajj and that is why I purchased them.

The stitches should not make a problem, inshAllah

Ok so the sandals are excluded from the general impermissibility of wearing sewn garments. Thank you for the clarification and removing my confusion on this matter.
