The problem are specifically Saudi wrong criteria for accepting witnessing of new moon. As such criteria are being recognized are unreliable by more and more people, their announcements (which most of the times fall in place with their own pre-calculated Umm al-Qura calendar) are not accepted.

While South Africa has correct criteria for sighting and announcement, and are very organized.
Sorry bro if I kindled a fire! I was only asking as I wasn't aware of all the issues.

No brother, sorry me for my rude reply, I shouldn't have added what I did in the first section; I was going to delete it then forgot.
Hope you didn't take it bad, I apologize!

I'm just in a period in which I have to repeat always the same things on another forum so I'm mildly frustrated! :-D

Wifaq (and Batley's ulama) do NOT only follow S.Africa ...and from day one, never have. Each and every month a concerted effort is made to sight locally in UK on the 29th of each and every month bar none. Additionally news from reliable and verifiable countries like S.Africa AND Morocco is taken into consideration. In the past they have made decisions based on the hilal being sighted here in UK such as HERE at 11:11, on some occasions sighted only in Morocco but not locally in UK or S.Africa. Though yes most of the times the (positive) news is received from S.Africa as they most of the time have a better chance to see it then either UK or Morocco.
