Exclamation Methods on how to memorize quran quickly?

Can someone please clarify in a clear surefire way(in a progressive manner ofc ) to hafidh the quran and Recite it of the top of ones head like surah fatiha? No matter how I hard I try...It seems like I keep forgetting either Juz by juz or Ayat by ayat and some surahs I out right just forget.

    P.s. ,

I Really havent been focusing on the quran for quite a while or even read it (to memorize)
I acknowledge my low-effort and setbacks but I would sincerely appreciate it if anyone of our fellow brothers or sisters would give me great advise/tips/methods in order to re-memorize and memorize the quran so that I may have it ingrained into my heart <3 I know I'm asking abit much but I'll make Dua for you allah Jazakallahukhairan

The first solution to your problem is to spend more time reciting the Qur'an. The principle in general is the more time you spend reciting and memorizing Qur'an, the easier it'll become to recite, memorize and retain.

    What's you method of memorizing?

How good is your fluency in reciting random pages of the Qur'an (nathirah skills)?

How much time do you give reciting the Qur'an and how much Qur'an do you recite daily?

    Wa3alaykumusalam.

I usually try to sit down and memorize half a page at a time
and re-read.....but by the end of the hour Im still forgetful of the surah at times.(Ayat by ayat)

Actually I can read it fairly well, Minor mistakes do arise but alhamdulillah It seems when My father corrects me I only make minor mistakes on a few occasions but Im doing well on reading random pages from anywhere within the quran.

As I remember the days I used to put effort into reading/memorizing the Quran..... I spent about 2 hours a day.

Please shed light on my Shortcomings and what Else I should be doing Inshallah. I shall sincerely try to change my method based on your advise.

Re-reading once or twice is not enough for your hifth to be completely perfect. You need to recite ayat enough times until your tongue "memorizes". It basically means you need to recite enough times until you can recite without having to think hard about the words. Like how you speak in your mother tongue. You don't think too hard when you speak. You just speak.

Recite an ayah 7, 14, 21, or however x amount of times until your tongue memorizes...

    Methods of memorizing:

Recite audibly an ayah x amount of times by looking at the ayah

Now recite that ayah without looking

When you feel that you have memorized it well (you can recite the ayah without looking at it and thinking too hard about which word comes next), do the same with the next ayah.

When you finish memorizing the next ayah, add the previous ayah (ayat) to your recitation so that you can recite all of them together.

If you, or the one listening to you, catch mistakes being made somewhere in the recitation of your newly memorized lesson, then start your recitation all over from the very beginning until that mistake is fixed.

During your recitation, pausing for more than a few seconds to think about which word comes next should be considered as a mistake to you. Don't continue memorizing if you have to pause (for more than a few seconds) and think about the next word because that means the ayah wasn't memorized perfectly. Fix the pauses by "memorizing with your tongue".

If you don't have a teacher or at least someone to listen to your hifth, you need to get one. Many times people embark on trying to memorize solo and end up making all sorts of lahn jali and lahn khafi mistakes, all the while thinking that they have memorized well!

How many ajza have you memorized? You need to revise whatever you did hifth of on a daily basis = spend more time reciting.

Some tips to help with your hifth:

    Stay away from sins

Consider the words of Allah (the Qur'an) to be superior over all other words

    Use siwak before you memorize

Be in the state of wudhu

    Face qiblah

Respect your Mushaf and keep it elevated

Memorize right after fajr or right before the time of fajr comes in

Recite your memorized lesson in your nafl Salah

Take a qailulah just before or after Salatul Zhuhr

    Don't argue with people

    Lower the gaze

    Don't talk too much unnecessarily

Jog/run in the mornings for at least 15-30 mins

Eat raisins and nuts like almonds and walnuts

Don't memorize on an empty stomach nor when you're completely full or bloated

Respect your teacher(s) and your parents

Practice the Sunnahs of eating, sleeping and dressing etc as much as you can.

Make du'a in Tahajjud that Allah open up Hifth for you

As-salamu 'alaikum wa rahmatu Allahi wa barakatuh

    This is my advice.

Listen to a professional Qari while reading from the Mushaf. Read the Surah which you want memorized many times and don't even try to memorize. I don't mean in one sitting. I mean over a span of days. In this way you will get accustomed to the Surah.

After having read (and listened to it simultaneously) a few times, the verses should start to etch into your mind. You might find yourself reciting some parts out of memory (while not having try to memorioze). You will find that at this this stage when you read an ayah, you know already know/anticipate the ayah which follows it. When you get to this stage, you should try recite the verses out of memory. You can look at the Mushaf when you don't remember but at this stage you want to keep it on a memory level as much as you can.
