Shaykh Faraz Rabbani shares an Eid Message from SeekersHub Toronto (http://www.SeekersHub.org) for seekers worldwide, reminding them of the beautiful gift of love that the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) gave to the noble companion Mu`adh ibn Jabal (Allah be pleased with him).

Mu`adh (Allah be pleased with him) relates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) held his hand and said, "O Mu`adh, by Allah, I love you! I advise you not to miss supplicating after every prayer, saying: `Allahumma a`inni `ala dhikrika wa shukrika, wa husni `ibadatika,' (O Allah, assist me to remember You; to be thankful to You; and to worship You with excellence)". [Abu Dawud and An-Nasa'i].

These three qualities--remaining in remembrance of Allah; being ever-thankful; and striving for excellence in worship--are key lessons of Ramadan, which we should strive to sustain throughout the year. This Prophetic supplication is a means to seek these qualities from Allah, and to remind ourselves of them five times a day.
