As'salamu 'alaykum,
up
asalamu alaykum. thats one heck of a rivival of a thread
All of the following can be acquired I believe free online as pdf documents
The most standardized athari texts are
1. Risaalah ibn Abi Zayd
2. Aqeedatu-Tahaawiyyah
3. Lumatul-'Itiqaad
4. Aqeedatul-Waasitiyyah
There are also works by Atharis that explain these works in detail.
asalamu alaykum

Qadhi Iyyad was an imam of ahlu-Sunnah an a treasure. However he is known by atharis to have been mistaken on some issues, particularly with certain tawilaat of sifaat and as we'll adopting the unfounded methodology of the kalaam prospect of tafweed m'anawiyya, whereas the concept of tafweed m'anawiyyah is antithetical to the aqeedah of ithbaat from the salaf, since the tafweed that the early salaf and the erudite ulema who explained their aqeedah was the tafweed of kayfiyya.
Ibnul-Qudaamah was an athari, yes, but we don't consider Qaadhi Iyyad rahmatullahi alayh, to be an authoritative figure of atharism.
Understand where we come from. Atharism was the default millah of the ummah. Everyone who is Muslim was athari for the first four centuries. The itiqaad al-qadri was the ummahs testimony to this fact. Hence anything that differs from this is seen as a divergence of the default millah of Islam.
